The B. J. Fogg Behavior Model

The B. J. Fogg Behavior Model suggests that for someone to do a specific behavior, three things must happen at the same time: they need to have the motivation, the ability, and an appropriate Triggers or prompts. If motivation and ability are high, a simple trigger can lead to action. If motivation or ability are low, even a good trigger won't work. The model helps design interventions—like apps or campaigns—to make behaviors easier, increase motivation, or provide timely prompts, ultimately making desired behaviors more likely to happen consistently.
