The Aryan Myth
The Aryan Myth refers to a historical and ideological belief that a so-called "Aryan" race, characterized by certain physical traits, was superior to others. This idea emerged in the 19th century, misusing linguistic and archaeological findings to promote racial theories. It falsely linked the term "Aryan" to an idealized version of ancient Indo-European peoples. The myth became associated with far-right ideologies, especially in Nazi Germany, leading to discrimination and justification of atrocities. In reality, the concept of race lacks a scientific basis, and humanity is better understood as a diverse tapestry of cultures and ethnicities without a hierarchy.
