Texture gradient
Texture gradient is a visual cue that helps us perceive depth and distance in a scene. When we look at surfaces with detailed or dense textures—like a grassy field or a brick wall—the patterns appear more spread out and less clear as they recede into the background. This gradual change in the density and clarity of textures helps our brains interpret which objects are closer and which are farther away, providing a sense of three-dimensional space in two-dimensional images or real-world environments.
