Texcoco Valley
The Texcoco Valley is a fertile region in central Mexico, surrounding Lake Texcoco. Historically, it was known for its rich soil and abundant water, supporting cultures like the Aztecs. Much of the area has been drained and reclaimed for agriculture, urban development, and infrastructure, including Mexico City, which was built on part of the valley. Despite modernization, it remains an important ecological and cultural zone, balancing environmental challenges from urbanization and water management.
