Texcoco Airport

Texcoco Airport was a planned international airport near Mexico City, designed to replace the existing Mexico City International Airport. It involved constructing a large, modern facility featuring multiple runways and extensive terminals to handle increasing air traffic. The project aimed to boost connectivity, economic growth, and aviation capacity in Mexico. However, construction was halted in 2018 after a political decision, and the site was later repurposed for a conservation area and other projects.
