Teresa of Ávila (Sister)

Teresa of Ávila, also known as Saint Teresa of Jesus, was a 16th-century Spanish mystic, nun, and reformer of the Catholic Carmelite monastic order. Renowned for her deep spiritual insights and extraordinary visions, she sought to revive the Carmelite community’s original austerity and contemplative focus. Her writings, especially “The Interior Castle,” explore the soul’s journey toward divine union.
