Teres minor

The teres minor is a small, narrow muscle located in the shoulder, part of the rotator cuff group. It originates from the outer edge of the shoulder blade (scapula) and inserts onto the upper part of the arm bone (humerus). Its main role is to help rotate the arm outward and stabilize the shoulder joint during movement. This muscle works together with other rotator cuff muscles to allow smooth, controlled shoulder motions and prevent instability or dislocation. It is essential for functions like lifting, throwing, and reaching overhead.
