tectonic features

Tectonic features are landforms resulting from Earth's moving plates. These plates, like giant puzzle pieces, shift slowly on the planet's surface. When they collide, separate, or slide past each other, they create features such as mountain ranges, deep ocean trenches, earthquakes, and volcanoes. For example, mountains form where plates push together, while trenches develop where one plate sinks beneath another. These movements shape the Earth's surface over millions of years and are responsible for much of the planet's geological activity. Understanding tectonic features helps us grasp the dynamic nature of Earth's crust and its ongoing evolution.
