Technology Readiness Level

Technology Readiness Level (TRL) is a scale used to measure the maturity of a new technology or product, from initial idea to full deployment. It ranges from 1 (basic principles observed) to 9 (actual system proven in real-world conditions). Think of it as a progress tracker: higher levels indicate the technology is closer to being ready for practical use, with thorough testing and validation. TRL helps organizations assess risk, allocate resources, and decide when a technology is ready for commercialization or deployment.
