TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures)
The TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) is a group established by the Financial Stability Board to improve how companies disclose climate-related risks and opportunities. It provides recommendations for organizations to report on environmental issues like climate change’s financial impacts, how it affects their business strategies, and their plans to address these challenges. By doing so, investors and stakeholders can better understand a company's resilience to climate risks, promote transparency, and support more sustainable investment decisions. Essentially, TCFD helps bridge the gap between climate science and financial decision-making.
