Tattvas
Tattvas are fundamental elements or principles in Indian philosophy that describe the building blocks of reality. Think of them as the basic categories or aspects through which everything in existence can be understood. Different philosophical systems list varying numbers of Tattvas; for example, in some versions, there are 36 or 36+ Tattvas, encompassing physical matter, mental states, consciousness, and spiritual principles. They serve as a framework to analyze the nature of the universe, human experience, and consciousness, helping practitioners understand how the physical and spiritual aspects of life are interconnected.
