Task Identity
Task identity refers to the degree to which a person can see and understand the complete process of a task, from start to finish, and recognize their role in producing a tangible outcome. When someone has high task identity, they can identify with the entire project, feeling a sense of ownership and accomplishment. Conversely, low task identity means their work is just a small part of a larger process, making the contribution less visible and possibly less fulfilling. It helps motivate employees by giving them clarity and a sense of purpose in their work.
