Tarsals

Tarsals are a group of seven small bones located in the back part of your foot, forming the heel and the ankle joint. They provide support and stability, helping you stand, walk, and run. The tarsals include the calcaneus (heel bone), talus (which connects to the leg), and other bones that help shape the foot’s arch. Together, they absorb shock and enable smooth movement. Proper functioning of the tarsals is essential for balance and mobility, and injuries or issues with these bones can cause pain and affect walking.
