Tarquin Kings

The Tarquin Kings refer to the ruling monarchs from the Tarquinio clan in ancient Rome, notably the last three kings: Tarquin the Proud and his sons. They ruled Rome before the Roman Republic was established in 509 BCE. Their reign was marked by strong, sometimes oppressive leadership, and their downfall led to the end of monarchical rule and the beginning of the republic.
