Tardenoisian

The Tardenoisian is a prehistoric stone tool tradition from the late Paleolithic and early Mesolithic periods in parts of Europe, especially France. It is characterized by finely crafted arrowheads, scrapers, and small blades made using pressure flaking techniques, which allowed for more precise shaping. These tools reflect advances in craftsmanship and hunting strategies of hunter-gatherer communities around 15,000 to 9,500 years ago. The Tardenoisian is often associated with other regional tool traditions and provides insights into the technological and cultural development during this transitional period in human prehistory.
