Tanga
Tanga is a traditional East African garment worn mainly by men, characterized by a piece of fabric wrapped around the waist and groin, often extending to cover the thighs. It serves both as everyday clothing and ceremonial wear, especially in coastal regions like Tanzania and Kenya. Made from various materials such as cotton or synthetic fabrics, tangas are valued for their comfort, versatility, and cultural significance. They can be plain or decorated and are sometimes worn during traditional ceremonies, dances, or beach activities. Tanga is also used as a term for similar wraparound clothing in other parts of Africa.
