Tail

In computing, “tail” refers to the last part of a file or data stream. It's often used to quickly view the most recent entries or updates, such as the latest log entries in a system. For example, if you look at the tail of a text file, you see its final lines. The term comes from the idea that the end of something is like a tail – trailing behind the main part. It’s a useful command-line tool for monitoring ongoing processes or recent activity without opening the entire file.
