t-Closeness
t-closeness is a privacy protection method used in data anonymization to ensure that sensitive information remains confidential. It requires that the distribution of a sensitive attribute in any group of released data is similar to its distribution in the overall dataset. Specifically, the distance between these distributions must not exceed a specified threshold, "t". This approach helps protect individuals’ privacy by making it harder to infer specific traits from the data, ensuring that even if someone has access to the dataset, they can't easily determine sensitive information about individuals within it.
