Surrogates

Surrogates are individuals or entities that act on behalf of someone else, providing representation or assistance in making decisions or completing tasks. In diverse contexts, such as healthcare or legal matters, a surrogate may be appointed to make choices when someone is unable to do so, due to incapacity or absence. In a broader sense, surrogates can also refer to substitute products or measures used instead of the original, helping to evaluate or mimic certain outcomes without directly using the original subject. Essentially, surrogates fulfill roles or purposes that would otherwise be left unaddressed.
