Surrogate pregnancy

Surrogate pregnancy is an arrangement where a woman, known as a surrogate mother, agrees to carry and give birth to a baby for another person or couple, often because they cannot conceive on their own. There are two main types: traditional surrogacy, where the surrogate is also the biological mother, and gestational surrogacy, where the surrogate carries a baby conceived through in vitro fertilization (IVF) using the egg and sperm of the intended parents or donors. This process helps those struggling with infertility to have children, but it involves legal, ethical, and emotional considerations.
