Supplemental Claim Process
The Supplemental Claim process allows Veterans to submit additional evidence or information to support a previously denied benefit claim with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). If new, relevant evidence becomes available after a claim is denied, a Veteran can request a Supplemental Claim to reconsider the decision. This process involves submitting the new evidence and the appropriate forms, after which the VA reviews the case again. It offers an opportunity to seek benefits without starting a completely new claim, often leading to a quicker review and decision if the new evidence is compelling.
