SULTs

SULTs, or Sulfotransferases, are enzymes in your body that help process and detoxify various substances, including medications, hormones, and small molecules. They work by adding a sulfur-based group to these compounds, making them more water-soluble. This process, called sulfation, helps your body eliminate these substances more efficiently through urine or bile. SULT enzymes are found mainly in the liver, but also in other tissues, playing a vital role in maintaining chemical balance and preventing potential buildup of harmful compounds.
