SU(5) Model
The SU(5) model is a theoretical framework in particle physics proposing that the fundamental forces—electromagnetism, weak, and strong nuclear forces—are unified into a single force at very high energies. It extends the Standard Model by organizing particles into larger symmetry groups called SU(5), simplifying their behaviors and interactions. This unification aims to explain why these forces appear different at lower energies and predicts phenomena like proton decay. Although not yet confirmed experimentally, SU(5) provides a compelling step toward a more comprehensive understanding of the universe’s fundamental laws.
