Sturmgeschütz
The Sturmgeschütz, often called StuG, was a German armored fighting vehicle developed during World War II. Primarily used as an assault gun, it was designed to provide direct fire support for infantry and to attack enemy tanks and fortifications. Its main feature was a powerful gun mounted on a relatively simple and well-armored chassis, allowing it to operate effectively close to the front lines. Unlike traditional tanks, it lacked a turret, which made manufacturing easier and the vehicle more streamlined. The StuG was highly effective and became one of the most produced and successful German armored vehicles of the war.
