Stupp

Stupp refers to the Stupp protocol, a treatment approach for glioblastoma, an aggressive brain tumor. Developed by Dr. Roger Stupp, it involves surgically removing as much of the tumor as possible, followed by radiation therapy combined with chemotherapy using a drug called temozolomide. This combined treatment aims to slow tumor growth and extend survival. The protocol is considered the standard of care for glioblastoma and has improved outcomes compared to previous treatments, though glioblastoma remains a challenging cancer with limited long-term control.
