STS-135

STS-135 was the final mission of NASA's Space Shuttle program, launched in July 2011. It involved the shuttle Atlantis transporting supplies, equipment, and a new Japanese logistics module to the International Space Station (ISS). The mission aimed to support the ISS's continued operation and scientific research. During the flight, astronauts performed spacewalks, delivered cargo, and helped upgrade the station. As the last shuttle flight, STS-135 marked the end of NASA's workhorse era of reusable spacecraft, transitioning to new commercial and international methods of sending astronauts and supplies to space.
