Structural Isomers
Structural isomers are compounds that have the same molecular formula but differ in how their atoms are connected or arranged. This means they consist of the same types and numbers of atoms, but the atoms are linked in different patterns, resulting in distinct molecules. For example, two compounds with the formula C4H10 can exist as different arrangements called butane and its isomer, 2-methylpropane. These variations can affect the properties and behavior of the compounds, even though they share the same basic composition.
