Stretch Blow Molding

Stretch Blow Molding is a manufacturing process used to create plastic bottles, especially for beverages and liquids. It involves first melting plastic pellets into a hot, pliable state, then forming them into a preform—a blank similar to a small test-tube. The preform is then heated again and placed into a bottle-shaped mold. A stretch rod extends into the preform while high-pressure air blows the plastic outward to shape it precisely. This method ensures strong, lightweight, and uniform bottles, combining stretching and blowing to optimize material use and bottle clarity.
