Strategic Depth Policy

A Strategic Depth Policy involves a nation's plan to build and maintain a variety of military and logistical resources—such as reserves, manpower, and supply lines—spread across its territory. This approach provides a cushion or buffer zone in case of an attack, allowing the country to absorb shocks, continue functioning, and mount defenses or counterattacks. Essentially, it’s about having enough behind-the-scenes capacity to survive and respond effectively to conflicts, ensuring security by not relying solely on front-line forces.
