Stoneman's Raid

Stoneman’s Raid was an American Civil War military operation in 1865, led by Union General George Stoneman. It involved a daring cavalry expedition deep into Confederate territory in North Carolina and Virginia, aiming to destroy Confederate supplies, infrastructure, and communication lines.
