stalling
Stalling occurs when an aircraft's engine or propeller doesn’t produce enough thrust to maintain steady flight. This can happen if the engines lose power, if the aircraft’s speed drops too low, or when encountering turbulence, causing the wings to no longer generate sufficient lift. When stalling happens, the aircraft may begin to descend or lose altitude unexpectedly. Pilots are trained to recognize and recover from stalls by adjusting the aircraft’s attitude, increasing speed, and restoring proper airflow over the wings. Proper understanding and quick response help ensure safety during these moments.
