SST Concorde

The SST Concorde was a supersonic passenger airplane that flew faster than the speed of sound, allowing it to cross the Atlantic in about half the usual time. Developed jointly by British and French engineers, it used advanced aerodynamics and turbojet engines to achieve speeds over Mach 2. The aircraft's sleek design and special materials helped reduce drag and withstand high temperatures at these speeds. While revolutionary in speed, it was costly to operate and had limited seating, leading to its retirement in 2003. Concorde remains an iconic example of aerospace innovation and supersonic commercial travel.
