SSM in Practice
SSM, or Soft Systems Methodology, is a structured approach used to understand and improve complex, real-world situations involving multiple perspectives. It focuses on identifying different viewpoints, exploring underlying assumptions, and modeling the situation to find meaningful improvements. SSM doesn’t assume there's a single “correct” solution but promotes learning and consensus among stakeholders. It’s often used in organizations or community projects to address messy problems where human factors and differing interests play significant roles, helping teams develop shared understanding and effective, collaborative solutions.
