Squires

Squires were young men in the medieval period who were training to become knights. Typically starting around the age of 7, they would serve a knight, learning skills such as horsemanship, combat, and chivalry. This role involved helping the knight in battles and tournaments, as well as attending to his armor and horse. Over time, if they proved themselves capable, squires could be dubbed knights, marking their transition into full knighthood. This system was essential in feudal societies, as it fostered loyalty and honor among the warrior class.
