Sooner Schooner
The Sooner Schooner is a symbol and mascot of the University of Oklahoma, representing school spirit and tradition. It is a small wooden wagon pulled by two black-and-white ponies named "Spirit" and "Boomer." Originally created as a mascot in the 1960s, it is often seen at athletic events and university functions, where it rides across the field or campus to rally support and celebrate victories. The Sooner Schooner embodies pride, history, and the pioneering spirit associated with the university’s namesake—"Sooners," the nickname for settlers who entered Oklahoma early.
