Solidification
Solidification is the process where a substance changes from a liquid to a solid as it cools. When the temperature drops, the particles in the liquid slow down and arrange into a fixed, orderly pattern, forming a solid. This process occurs naturally in things like freezing water into ice or metal cooling into a solid shape. The transition involves releasing heat, called latent heat, and the resulting solid has a defined shape and structure. Solidification is fundamental in manufacturing, geology, and natural phenomena, playing a key role in forming minerals, ice, and metallic objects.
