SOHO mission
The SOHO (Solar and Heliospheric Observatory) is a spacecraft launched in 1995 to study the Sun and its influence on the solar system. It orbits between Earth and the Sun, continuously observing the Sun’s outer atmosphere, solar wind, and magnetic activity. This helps scientists understand solar phenomena like solar flares and coronal mass ejections, which can affect space weather and disrupt satellite and communication systems on Earth. By providing detailed data, SOHO improves our knowledge of the Sun’s behavior and its impact on our planet.
