Societal Segregation
Societal segregation is when different groups within a society are separated from one another, often based on factors like race, class, ethnicity, or religion. This separation can occur through housing patterns, schools, workplaces, or social activities, leading to limited interaction and opportunities between groups. It can reinforce inequalities, stereotypes, and disparities in access to resources and services. While sometimes a result of choice, segregation often stems from historical, economic, or social forces that create boundaries, making it harder for diverse groups to share experiences and build mutual understanding.
