Soap production
Soap production involves a chemical process called saponification, where fats or oils react with an alkali, such as sodium hydroxide (lye). The fats, derived from plants or animals, are mixed with the lye, causing a reaction that produces soap and glycerin. The mixture is then poured into molds and allowed to harden. Additional ingredients like fragrances, colors, or moisturizers may be added for desired properties. The result is a cleansing product that helps remove dirt and oils from the skin by creating a slippery, lathering solution when mixed with water.
