Smog

Smog is a type of air pollution that combines smoke and fog, leading to hazy, unhealthy air. It usually occurs in urban areas where there's a lot of vehicle exhaust, industrial emissions, and other pollutants. There are two main types: "classical smog," common in colder climates, formed from smoke and sulfur dioxide, and "photochemical smog," which happens in warmer, sunny conditions when sunlight reacts with pollutants like nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compounds. Smog can harm human health, reduce visibility, and damage the environment, making efforts to minimize it essential for public health and safety.
