Skylab missions
Skylab was NASA's first space station, launched in the early 1970s to study how humans and materials behave in space. It was a large, orbital laboratory where astronauts conducted scientific experiments in areas like biology, medicine, and astrophysics. The station was visited by three crews between 1973 and 1974, who lived and worked there for extended periods, providing valuable insights into long-term space habitation. Skylab helped pave the way for future space exploration by improving our understanding of living and working in space environments.
