Skelligs (Skellig Michael and Skellig Minor)

The Skelligs are two rugged, rocky islands off Ireland's southwest coast, known for their striking natural beauty and historic significance. Skellig Michael, the larger of the two, features a well-preserved 6th-century Christian monastery built into the cliffs, showcasing ancient stone structures and beehive-shaped huts. Skellig Minor is smaller and less developed. Both islands are UNESCO World Heritage Sites, renowned for their dramatic landscapes and their role as important religious sites in early Irish Christianity. They are also famous as filming locations for the "Star Wars" movies, drawing visitors and fans worldwide.
