Situation in Libya

Libya is a North African country that has experienced significant turmoil since the 2011 uprising, which ousted long-time dictator Muammar Gaddafi. The aftermath led to a power struggle among various factions and armed groups, resulting in ongoing conflict. The country has faced political fragmentation, with rival governments in the east and west, and widespread insecurity. Although there have been attempts at peace talks and role for international mediators, instability, and violence persist, hindering the establishment of a unified government and affecting daily life for Libyans, as well as prompting concerns over humanitarian issues and migration.
