Sir Frederick Pollock (1845-1937) was a prominent British lawyer, legal scholar, and legal historian. He is best known for his work on contract law and for influencing legal education and reform in England. Pollock co-authored the widely regarded "Pollock and Merring on Contract," which shaped modern contract law principles. He also contributed significantly to the study of legal history, advocating for a deeper understanding of the law's evolution. In addition to his legal work, he served as the Vinerian Professor of English Law at Oxford University and held various prestigious positions throughout his career.
