Simo Häyhä was a Finnish soldier known as "The White Death" for his remarkable skill as a sniper during the Winter War (1939-1940) against the Soviet Union. He used a bolt-action rifle and relied on camouflage and patience to silently take out enemy soldiers from long distances. Häyhä's tactics complemented Finland’s small forces, significantly impacting Soviet operations. His ability to operate in extreme cold and his precision made him one of history’s deadliest snipers, with estimates of over 500 confirmed kills.
