Sima Yan

Sima Yan was a Chinese emperor who founded the Jin Dynasty in 265 CE after overthrowing the Western Liang, marking the reunification of northern China. He was originally a high-ranking official and general before becoming emperor, and his rise helped end a period of division known as the Three Kingdoms. Sima Yan's reign was focused on consolidating power and restoring stability, although his dynasty eventually fell into internal conflict and external invasions, leading to its decline. His leadership is notable for unifying China after decades of fragmentation and setting the stage for future imperial rule.
