Silt fences

Silt fences are temporary barriers made from fabric, designed to control soil erosion during construction or land development. They are typically installed around construction sites to capture sediment from rainwater runoff. As water flows toward the fence, it slows down, allowing soil particles to settle out before the water continues downstream. This helps prevent pollution of nearby water bodies and protects the environment. Silt fences are an important part of effective erosion control and are often required by environmental regulations at construction sites.
