Sikh historical events
Sikh history began in the 15th century with Guru Nanak, who emphasized equality, honest living, and devotion to God. Over time, ten Gurus guided the community, shaping its spiritual and social principles. In the late 1600s, Guru Gobind Singh established the Khalsa, a brotherhood committed to justice and righteousness. Sikhs faced persecution, notably during Mughal rule, leading to sacrifices and resilience. In the 19th and 20th centuries, Sikhs migrated globally, establishing communities and contributing significantly to society, while striving to uphold their faith’s core values of equality, courage, and service.
