Sideband Modulation

Sideband modulation is a technique used in radio and communications to transmit information by altering a carrier wave. When a signal (like music or voice) is blended with a high-frequency carrier, it creates new frequency components called sidebands. These sidebands carry the actual information and are located above and below the carrier frequency. By focusing on these sidebands and sometimes eliminating the carrier, the system efficiently transmits the signal, making better use of the available bandwidth and power. This method is fundamental in radio broadcasting, satellite communication, and radar systems for clear and effective signal transmission.
