Shot put technique
Shot put involves propelling a heavy spherical object, called a shot, as far as possible. The athlete stands within a circle, holds the shot close to their neck, and uses a coordinated combination of strength and technique. They typically start with a glide or rotational movement to build momentum, then pivot and use their legs, hips, and upper body to propel the shot upwards and outwards in a powerful, controlled push. The goal is to generate maximum force while maintaining balance and proper form to achieve optimal distance and accuracy.
